The Strategic Sales position is primarily responsible for managing and building the assigned key customers for a particular industry segment(s) and territory. Incumbent is expected to maintain long-term relationships with these accounts and maximizing sales opportunities within them.


Primary job scope includes Key Account Management; Relationship building with Customer and generating revenue as targeted.

Qualifications

Desired Experience:

 

  • Degree in Electronics or related field with 8 to 15 years’ relevant experience in managing large customers.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Test and Measurement equipment ideally from Test & Measurement and/or RF & Semiconductor industry
  • Capability to facilitate closure of complex sales cycle.
  • Technical and functional understanding of Telecommunication / Semiconductor / RF / Wireless / Electronics Manufacturing market vertical in various territory or locations.
  • Key Account Management experience and skills will be highly preferred.
  • Exposure to Salesforce application software will be value added.
  • Ability to determine strategy and tactical plans that deliver tangible value to the marketplace.
  • A go-getter who is keen to meet and exceed targets.
  • Ability to quickly understand and operate complex inventory management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, cross-group collaboration and proven ability to influence across organizational boundaries.
  • Computer literate: familiar with MS Office, MS Excel, MS Power Point & email protocol.
    Good command of English (both verbal & written).
  • High level of professionalism & personal integrity.
  • Must be a team player, willing to get involved across the organization.
  • Determined to get the job done and meet objectives under time constraints.

Physical Requirements

 

  • All positions will require, to some degree, the physical abilities described below to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Work the expected hours, consistently arrive at work at the agreed time and follow Company rules and guidelines regarding breaks and meal periods.  Full time is typically considered to be 40 hours per week
  • Communicate effectively, both oral (in person and on the phone) and written.
  • Move around and through all work areas as needed, may include climbing stairs or ladders
  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds (i.e. books, reports, binders etc.)
  • Regularly sit at the assigned workstation
  • Use keyboard or equivalent equipment, to access the computer,
  • Use hands to manipulate documents and general paperwork to view contents
  • Read documents, reports, files etc.
  • Communicate effectively using the telephone

Responsibilities

  • Develop high level relationships with key executives and decision makers to consultatively sell differentiated high value solutions across business lines.
  • Pro-actively generate leads and cold-calling prospective customers.
  • Prepare and execute on sales plans for each account to meet goals.
  • Pro-actively develop new business opportunities with both existing and potential customers by marketing, promoting, and securing new order intake.
  • Efficiently manage schedules to optimize face-to-face selling time and activity.
  • Perform feasibility studies and work closely with Partners to establish customers’ expectations.
  • Prepare presentations and proposals with appropriate financial analysis
  • Manage sales opportunity pipeline and business funnel and work with team to maximize closure of opportunities.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff and inside sales.
  • Coordinate with Inside Sales and company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales and order fulfilments.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com as the sales management tool for documenting sales activity and the opportunities funnel
  • Completes weekly updates, itineraries, expense reports, and forms according to Company policies and guidelines.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and industry affiliations.
  • Cooperating & collaborating with the sales team and our partners on all of the above
